Fifth Outcome

OilInk Experiments
NOTE: I did not know how to use Oil Inks at the time, so it was kind of a waste
Insufficient oil ink, insufficient time spent applying pressure.
Water Based Inks

The border is visible now. However, there are numerous defects such as the spot without ink circled in orange.
The ink is also slanted towards to the left (green collumn)
Overinked, roller lines, even more lean to the left.
Basically an inferior version of the one above.
Not enough pressure on the right and the top/bottom parts.
There are also many areas over inked like the left electric pole(Utility pole)

much better print compared to the others.
However, it is on newsprint, and to the very left and very right, ther are some defects. As well as the bottom, where there is a smudge where the ink was lifted off by something

Clear roller marks
black ink marks because not cleaned properly

the edges are better at least.
Not enough pressure (lots of grain), also black ink stain still there.

Inconsistent ink application, some areas lacking in ink.
Not enough ink at all

Only some areas have decent amounts of ink and pressure

lino pieces also make some areas have no ink.

black on white looks a bit bad on white paper/is harder to get right.
Sides and corners dont have enough pressure or ink.
The bottom area also has less than the top.

At least it doesent have incredibly obvious roller lines or super over inked areas.

Sides and corners dont have enough pressure or ink.
The bottom area also has less than the top.

At least it doesent have incredibly obvious roller lines or super over inked areas.
Bottom under inked, some ink not even there.
other sides also have problems with ink, but not as bad

Inked pretty good compared to the others.
The bottom corner still has a problem since i broke it.

Over inked in middle, not enough pressure on the outskirts
Under inked bottom and top.
Not enough pressure overall, borders are not defined,

some areas have loads of ink randomly (left near border)

Not enough pressure on top right corner

overall not enough pressure in center and bottom

Not enough pressure. also, some parts are over inked (electric pole left)

Loads of lines at the top (not cut properly)

Also, too much grain (not enough pressure) overall
Insufficient and uneven pressure
Uneaven pressure again, mainly okay at the left center area, but the other areas need more pressure

The print itself is better than the rest by a lot.

the ink at the bottom left corner is the best, but the other area
over inked atthe bottom areas. However, there is a really obvious roller mark that looks really bad.
REALLY inconsistent ink spead. Also, over inked in many areas.

It seems too liquidy? not sure though. Probably because of not wiping lino enough
Not enough pressure or ink overall. Also, the edges have different levels of ink.

there is a darkened area to the right.
inconsistent ink spread
roller mark

the circle was put there as an experiment to see how much the black would cover.
Under inked, (from what i can tell) it feels a bit liquidy (the ink). Maybe the lino was not wiped enough?
Uneven ink and pressure placement.
Overall, it looks okay, but the extra ink on the left makes it look uneven ad unfinished.
Roller marks

Ink kind of good near the center, but the sides look much worse.
Over inked center
under inked sides

Roller marks also bad.
Top not enough ink
the rest seems okay

Roller marks bad!
Roller marks present

uneven pressure/ink application (top left compared to the other corners)

Way too little ink, as well ass not enough pressure overall.

The ink is alsounevenly applied
Uneven ink application

not enough ink overall except the center spot

roller marks/no clear border

WAY too little ink.
Maybe a wet lino when printing?

also random spots with no ink. This is bad.
This one also feels wet.

There are lino spots

there are areas without ink
the lines have been pushed into the ink

i need to clean the lino/dry the lino before printing next time.
I set the press on too high of a pressure setting. This made the print slip and smudge.
Center looks okay, but all of the sides are under inked.

based on the wrinkles i think i set the pressure hard after putting it in so the front and back(left and right) were not under lots of pressure.

Roller marks everywhere

uneven ink application

some of the lines in the sky are coming back.

Left side has some red imprinted on it.

the right bottom side is under inked.

The amount of ink seems fine (except for the right bottom side). I think the main issue is the amout of pressure and not cleaning up the lino before printing.
No border

Roller marks

over inked in many places
Right side not enough pressure

A lino piece stopped the printing on the right leg of the Torii gate

no border

roller marks everywhere

not really even application
Over inked

No border

Sides are super smudged
Over inked
it feels a bit liquidy, maybe not wiped properly again

sides not enough pressure and ink

the center is over inked.
No defined border

loads of roller marks

kind of plain though (the deisgn as a whole)
