Final Prints!
Actually, since i forgot my etching plate on monday, i had planned to do my final prints during wednesday thursday and friday, since i had a good number of free periods on those days. However, due to the school closure, I was unable to complete my print.

However, i have most of the individual prints that would have gone into the final.
FINAL Lino sheet

This is my final lino piece. Overall, i thought it was super difficult because of the massive amount of negative space. It made it harder to cut and print. Next time, with such a large area, i would cut it off with a knife.

The left building has two holes. This is because i kept getting artifacts from that area (lines of ink in final print) so i kept chipping it down till it got to the bottom.

As for the broken corner(in some of my earlier prints), i cut off the entire bottom area near there.
I did a similar thing for the top part where there were lino cut marks making it look bad. I cut the entire area out and made it negative space. (it was not complete as of the corona break thing, i was gonna finish it right before making my final since it was like 3 cuts away from being done)

Oil Ink Print (Lino)
(Best one)

This print is the best one i made. The print has a small amount of grain near/on the torii shrine. However, overall, it is much better than the other water based ink prints.
Kendo Etching (under Lino Print)

This is my final etching design (Red are the lines already present on the plate (as of designing) and blue are the new lines(which i etched the day before we were stuck at home)). I thought this would make the piece more intresting.
Final Etches
These are my initial etches. (After scratching my development onto the plate, i did not have time to print.

Although i had less experience with hard etching plate printing as well as had worse results overall, i chose it as it felt really good the first time i scratched it.

For this one, majority of the lines were done using a potractor at home. Since i rarely used it, it was incredibly sharp and cut really well.

This print uses my developed design. It has some shading and value, hopefully adding more depth to the print and the piece as a whole.

Trying to add value was quite fun, as it was kind of like doing a pen drawing.

Before the corona thing, i had not taken a photo of my lino cut of this, so i found a photo.

This is a piece of newsprint i used to experiment on. the amount of unintentional lines (artifacts) generally decrease as it goes down (except for the center one since i started there first)
Printing side
This is a photo of my olympic block. I thought that since all the ring colors would be different, i should have a single circle that i print with multiple times instad of a big piece. This makes it easier to apply ink (since it wont infect the other circles).

I cut out the circle by putting a piece of tape over the lino and cutting around it like a tracing.

Back Side

The image on left shows some red circles overlapped. In practice they would be different colors.
