Idea 1 Development
My first development was on the Biathlon sport. For this one, i had a clear idea on how it would look like when it developed.

The gun going throughout the page is the rifle used during olympic biathlon competitions.
While Biathlon is a race, the shooting section can potentially move a top-runner down, as each miss out of the ten shots provided means they must skii an extra 150metres, wasting precious time during the race.
These random drawings (the photos overlap a bit) were made whn i was testing out the different poses the subject would be in. Out of all of these, i think the ones outlined in orange are the best
Along with the poses, i also sketched out some skiis, trying to get them as accurate to real ones as possible. (they get wider at the ends, and this makes the perspective difficult)
These are quick sketches on what i expected the outcome to be that i did in my book
Digital Version Of Developed Image
The image is a version i developed online. Since this was more a proof of concept type piece, i decided not to fix some of the various mistakes i made(e.g: the missing waist on blue).
I first drew the two figures in their various poses, and then filled both of them in their respecrive colors. (yellow layer under blue)
I then duplicated the yellow layer, filled it in purple and then erased the parts not overlapping. (i probably should have used a layer mask instead)
When printing, all of it would be lino (block colors/prints)
